Our grandson is graduating from High School!
Hip, Hip, Hooray! Three cheers for this amazing young man!
When Jake first started elementary school, my daughter was told over and over again, that Jake would have trouble attaining any sort of “normal” advancement. Jake was integrated into a regular classroom schedule except for reading, writing and math. He was taken out of class for IEP help in those key subjects.
Jake was diagnosed with Asperger’s Autism; add in Cholesteatoma which is a non-malignant tumor of the ear. Jake was diagnosed with this disease when he was in 4th grade and he has had 4 surgeries for this ear problem. Then add to the medical mix treatments for Heart Arrhythmia symptoms which included another surgery; an Ablation.
Jake was already behind in learning and he missed so much school because of his medical issues. I don’t think I ever heard Jake complain. I never heard him say: “This isn’t fair” or “Why me”?
This amazing child always had a smile on his face, he went to school and he always had a positive attitude. This young many took his medical issues and his schooling to a different level. He made friends, tons of friends, and he took responsibility for his work, and every teacher Jacob ever met was flabbergasted at his caring attitude and his sheer will.
So here’s to Jacob Daniel! We applaud you, we love you and we can’t wait to see what God has in store for your life! Go out with the amazing grace you have shown to all your life.
You attained – You completed – You advanced when others said you wouldn’t
Happy Graduation, Jake
We love you to the Moon and Back
Judges 6:12 (NKJV) And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!
