Morning Prayers

My Father, I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus, realizing without him I can do nothing. I want to give you pleasure and joy, delighting in you, and your will, and your Word.  Here is my body which I present to you. It is not mine in any case, because it has been bought with the precious blood of your beloved Son, my Savior, Jesus. I acknowledge that, and only give to you what rightfully belongs to you.

Please help me, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to love what you love, and hate what you hate. Save me, Lord, from a joyless service and powerless life. Help me to live uprightly, to give cheerfully, to pray and praise you with a pure heart, and not only to do your will, but to delight in it.

Thank you for all the revelation of yourself that I am going to receive through your Word. I do want to delight in that, too, so will you please help me? I want your Word to be the voice of my beloved to my heart, the comfort and guidance of my Good Shepherd, the loving instructions from my perfect teacher, light from you, The Light, and truth from you, The Truth.

You are so gloriously and majestically delightful, and I thank and praise and worship you. Amen

Lord I pray You would direct my steps. Only You know the way I should go. I don’t want to get off the path You want me to walk on and end up in the wrong place. I want to move into all You have for me and become all You made me to be by walking in Your perfect will for my life now.

For Husband, Kids and Grandkids

Lord, I pray You would direct ____ steps. Only You know the way they should go. Please don’t let them get off the path You want them to walk on and end up in the wrong place. Please help them to move into all You have for them and become all You made them to be by walking in Your perfect will for their lives now.

Lord, help me to remember to give thanks to You in all things, knowing that You reign in the midst of them. Remind me that You have redeemed me and I am Yours, nothing is more important than that. I know when I pass through the waters You will be with me and the river will not overflow me. When I walk through the fire I will not be burned, nor will the flames touch me. (Isaiah 43: 1-2)

Lord, I pray for the wisdom to see the work you have planned for me and the energy and motivation to complete your work. Heavenly Father, help me to walk in kindness and truth. Give me the foresight to hold my tongue until I ca filter my words through the standard of honesty, truth and love.

Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God  1Cor10:31

Psalm 119:108: Accept I beseech thee, the free will offering of my mouth. I confess my confidence in Your promises. I praise You because it is done!
