Meditation Prayers  (Prayers by Jack Hayford)

Father, thank you for the joy of being in your presence. I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus. I thank you for making me your child, and for all your wonderful love to me, shown in so many different ways. I praise you for Yourself, the giver of every good and perfect gift. I worship you for all that you are, and for all that the Lord Jesus is, in all your glorious majesty, holiness, purity and power. All that is within me blesses Your Holy name.

I have come to sit before you to hear you speak to me through Your Word, and I thank you. Will you please show me if there is anything in my life that is not pleasing to you____________ any unconfessed sin ______________ Help me to deal with these issues by showing me your plan for my life.

 

Father, I die to my own thoughts and imaginations, and in the name of the Lord Jesus, I resist any work of the enemy, as I submit myself to you. (Satan and the demonic powers I resist you in the name of the Lord Jesus, and any thoughts you would seek to plant in my mind. I am blood bought child of God, and have victory through the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony). Dear Lord, fill me with your Spirit and teach me from your Word; in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

 

Father I do not want to have any disobedience in my life. Are there any Lord, please show me _____________. I do not want to run away from your plan and purpose for my life. I trust you to make your will and instructions so clear to me that I cannot mistake them; and Lord, I want to obey. Please help me and I trust you to do this. Amen

 

Father I want to continue to thank You for the treasure-house of the Word of God, containing truth and revelation that no wealth on earth could buy. I want to be a diligent seeker of truth not only receiving knowledge, but also understanding. Thank you that Your Word will cause me to respect your ways and walk in them; strengthen me to resist temptation; help me not react in the flesh. I praise you that my love for you and the Word will also increase, and like David, I will delight myself in your commandments and incline my heart to your testimonies. When I awake in the night, speak to me through Your Word so my knowledge of you will be expanded for Your glory. Amen
