Do you like fashion? New styles, new designs, fashion models and runway couture? I am not a fashion diva. I’ve never been the type of girly girl who wears 3-inch heals and needs to change my closet out every season. Heck, there are some clothes in my closet that are more than ten years old. Some clothes fit and others, well, its time to go!
Let’s face it, unless you are a millionaire many times over, we usually cannot afford haute couture; juicy or not! Shoes fetish? Really, there are some of us out here in the world that could care less about shoes and whether they are the color red on their soles.
There is nothing wrong with loving fashion and expensive shoes but these are only temporary wants. I am striving to change and improve my soul not my soles.
Psalm 33:13-15 says: The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth. He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.
Psalm 33 goes on to say in Verses 18-22: Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the Lord. He is our help and our shield; for our heart shall rejoice in Him because we have trusted in His holy name. Let your mercy, O Lord, be upon us just as we hope in You.
So let’s get going and do some spring housecleaning in our hearts. God has fashioned your heart especially for you. Trust in our Lord and place your hope in His holy name. He will help you and He is your shield of protection. Our God is watching over the seasons of your life. He has fashioned a new design made especially for you. Your new heart is a God-Couture original!
