Boy, doesn’t the economy and the stock market drive your crazy? Up one minute and then tumbling down the next, never leveling out, never staying on course. If you look up the word, Stock in the dictionary it means: standard, typical, normal or ordinary. Huh?
What is typical, normal or ordinary about the stock market? I can understand it if they named it the Trade Market but I would call it the “You did What” Market. Not only is the Stock Market going no-where places but other countries in the World economies are crashing and failing. What are we to make of these situations and what can we do; if anything?
Psalm 33: 4-5 says: For the word of the Lord is right and true, He is faithful in all He does. The Lord loves righteousness and justice, the earth is full of His unfailing love.
Psalm 33: 10-11 says: The Lord foils the plans of the nations. He thwarts the purposes of the people. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.
Psalm 33: 12-15 goes on to say: Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance. From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from His dwelling place He watches all who live on earth – He who forms the hearts of all who considers everything they do.
Our country was based on the concept of In God We Trust. We, as individuals and American’s cannot forget the words in our Constitution. We don’t have to depend on a Stock/Trade/You did what Market. He alone levels the playing field and He stays the course. He is never standard, typical or ordinary. It doesn’t matter if you are bearish, bullish, a democrat or a republican; we the people can stand firm as we continue to place our faith and our nation in the Hands of God.
Psalm 33: 20-22 says: We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in You.
