Our daughter is attending accelerated College courses in order to receive her degree in Business Administration. Last night her College professor asked the following question. What is missing and if it were present, would it make a difference?
What is missing in our lives? Is it more time, more money or more attention? Is it more of a physical longing? Is it more mental longing? Is it the voice of the evil one prompting you to crave more and never finding satisfaction?
Psalm 63: 5 says: My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
Luke 6:21 says: Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
1 Corinthians 6: 19-20 says: Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
We can be satisfied with the gifts we have been given. We can be satisfied by hungering for God’s Word and feasting upon the writings. The price of admission has already been paid. Honor yourself and respect others by accepting the invitation God has so graciously extended to us. There will be no more weeping and no more tribulation only laughter and celebration. Find your Eternity with His different Gift!
What is missing? – Acknowledging God’s Love and the gift of His Son.
Is it present? – Yes, when I accept the invitation in praise and thanksgiving.
Will it make a difference? – Yes, an Eternity of difference.
