Have you ever been on an obstacle course? A course of obstacles including a climbing wall, tires in a row testing balance, rope swings and a soldier-crawl station; usually through thick mud. I’ve watched obstacle course competitions in movies and I have seen silly replays about reality TV contestants failing.

Does your life sometimes seem like an obstacle course? How about you’re feet? Do you feel like you’re feet are inserted into stumbling blocks instead of starter blocks? Sprinters start the race with their feet in starter blocks to benefit from propulsion. In the beginning, would-be racers spend hours day after day practicing from the starting point. They know once they start the race properly, then they can learn other concepts.

Romans 14:13 says: Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way.

Passing judgment on another is a huge stumbling block. Honestly, we all pass judgment. Come On! Admit it! Think of your hubby or wife, your children, your grand-children, extended family, co-workers, Church members. You’ve never passed judgment; never place that type of stumbling block on the life course?

Well, I have and sometimes I feel like I fail every second or every minute. On good day, I might even stretch the judgment time to about ten minutes. Oh, I am not proud of this accomplishment. In fact, I know to blame the satan and question why I listen.

Ephesians 6:11 says: Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Did you hear it? Paul says to put on the “whole armor” of God; not just the shoes! Paul says put on the:

Belt of Truth – to keep us honest
Breastplate of Righteousness – to protect our heart, our soul, our spirit and our body
Sandals of Peace – to protect our feet; letting our steps be the steps God wants us to take
Shield of Faith – to protect us from the fiery arrows of satan
Helmet of Salvation- to protect our mind, our brain, our thoughts – His Will not I
Sword of the Spirit – to do warfare for God by rebuking, binding and casting out satan

We must rebuke, bind and cast out satan and all his evil pals in the name of Jesus Christ.
We place this hedge of protection around us and all our extended family, plead the blood of Christ and ask the Holy Spirit to protect us, guide us and direct us in God’s perfect Will. No more stumbling blocks and no more obstacle courses, evil cannot stand against this Power. Let Christ dwell in your heart through faith; live powerfully! You will start the race, propelling yourself onward, running on the race-track and ready to be filled to the measure of all God’s fullness. Start your day with Propulsion Power.
