I listened to Joyce Meyers this morning. She was teaching on how the devil loves to make us feel diminished in our every day life, our thought process or any way he can possibly get into our heads.

As Joyce spoke (I know you will think this strange), I thought about Shrinky Dinks. Do you remember shrinky dinks? Images were imprinted on a special plastic. You would cut around the image, place the cut image on a cookie sheet, place the tray in a low temperature oven and then watch the magic.

Our kids joined Indian Guides/Princesses when they were in kindergarten – through third grade. Now I say the kids joined, but in reality, Indian Guides and Indian Princesses is an organization where Daddy and the kids (whether boy or girl) join and take part in Pow- Wows; meeting each week at their “tribe” members homes. The tribe would gather, complete a project and eat goodies; while running around like wild Indians!

My husband, (at one point) had both children in the same organization and joined two tribes. God Bless him! Hubby and kids went on a Dad/Daughter/Son campout in the mountains. I’m sure the experience still haunts his dreams. Both daughter and son ran in different directions and pulled him to “do” things at the camp-out. They even went canoeing where Dad lost his glasses in the murk and mire of the lake bottom. This was not a great situation on the ride home since Daddy needs glasses to SEE. (Hubby’s vision wasn’t as blurry then as it is now – he gave me permission to say this statement)

Anyway, Shrinky Dinks saved the day on our project evening. The kids loved to poke a hole in the image and watch the magic as the “dinks” shrank. The boys and girls would proudly add their image to their beaded necklaces and add another patch to their Indian vest or dress.

Jeremiah 26: 2 says: Thus says the LORD: ‘Stand in the court of the LORD’s house, and speak to all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD’s house, all the words that I command you to speak to them. Do not diminish a word.

Philippians 4: 19-20: And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Don’t let the evil one diminish you. Your Lord, God will supply all your needs. Don’t diminish the Living Word – don’t be a shrinky dink in the face of the devil. Call out to God and give Him the glory. Add God’s patch and wear it proudly.
