Here are some wise words from the book called: have a little faith by Mitch Albom:
Faith is about doing – You are how you act – not how you believe
Listening – really listening involves ears and eyes – listen with your eyes
When you come to the end – that’s when God begins
Man likes to run from God – It’s a tradition
Its not lack of faith or apathy – its lack of need – when things go too good – No Need
I didn’t ask God for much so He didn’t ask much of me
It’s far more comforting to think God listened and said “No” than to think that nobody’s out there
Much of what we call depression is really dissatisfaction – a result of setting a bar too high or expecting treasurers that we aren’t will to work for or wanting what you can’t have or looking for self worth in the mirror or layering work on top of work and still wondering why you weren’t satisfied.
Never pop a pill for peace of mind, love to smile, avoid anger, never be haunted by “Why am I here” – We know why we are here – to give to others, to celebrate God and to enjoy and honor the world we were placed upon
Begin your morning prayers with “thank you Lord for returning my soul to me”.
Having more does not keep you from wanting more
Secret of Happiness: Be satisfied – Be grateful for what you have and for the Love you’ve received and for all God has given you
We don’t want to commit to God – We take Him when we need Him – But real commitment requires staying power in faith
When you Give – you Get
Nothing haunts more than the things we don’t say
God and the decisions He renders is correct – God doesn’t punish anyone out of the blue. God knows what He is doing.
Faith is so important because it is a rope for all of us to grab up and down the mountain
