God‘s Nature is amazing!

When I awoke this morning, I opened the patio door to let in some cool morning air. I started to sit down on the couch for my early morning Bible readings and Worship time with the Lord.

I love early morning Worship. What a great way to start the day – soaking in the Word of God.

That’s when I heard the sound of a bird. No it wasn’t a chirp or bird-song. It sounded like a diffent pitches with highs and lows- Wrrrp! Wupp! Wrrp!

Then came the answering Wrrrp’s and Wupp’s close by.

I snuck over to the window trying to be as quiet as possible.

There they were! A Chorus Line! Mama and three baby chicks just old enough to fly but still learning from their wise Mama.

Mama and Daddy Bird have been great parents – watching and guarding the nest and providing food for their new chicks.

Now the training manual is being pulled out and the chicks are being schooled.

Romans 5: 3-5 (MSG) There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!

Our BIBLE is our training manual. When we pull out our Bible’s, we are schooled by the Holy Spirit.

Our Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ, are family to us as they watch and guard our every move.

Join the Chorus Line of Praise

Nehemiah 9: 5-6 (MSG) Blessed be your glorious name, exalted above all blessing and praise! You’re the one, God, you alone; You made the heavens, the heavens of heavens, and all angels; The earth and everything on it, the seas and everything in them; You keep them all alive; heaven’s angels worship you!

Romans 9: 20-21 (NIV)

But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’” 21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?

potter

O Lord, who am I to question your authority? You formed me and made me like this.

Use me, O God, whether you chose me for noble purposes or common use.

Mold me, shape me!

Romans 9: 23 (NIV)

What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory

Lord, I am the object of Your mercy. You called me before I was born.

You are preparing me for Your Glory. I fall to my knees at the thought of your Mercy.

Thank you God that I am in Your Mighty Potter’s Hand!

Genesis 1: 31 ( NIV)  God saw all that he had made, and it was very good

Most relationships start out on a high note. Everything the loved one does is noble and true. We soon find out the Prince or Princess is only human. They make the same mistakes we make and, like us, they say the wrong things at the wrong time.  We learn to extend forgiveness and grace to those we love, because, they deserve to be respected as we wish to be respected. We learn the true meaning of the Golden Rule.

From the beginning of the first chapter of Genesis to the last book of the Bible, God and our Savior, Jesus created the World on a high note and will end the World, as we know it, on the highest note imaginable.

Is it Memorex?

Nope, it’s the Heavenly Host singing Glory, Glory in Highest!

Start the New Year giving our Almighty Father and Jesus our Savior praise and glory.

Revelation 4:11 (NRSV)

You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they existed and were created.

TODAY IS TAKE ME BACK THURSDAY (RE-POST FROM 12/11)

I know – I know – I’ve said this before and you will probably hear about it again, but, I love John Wayne movies. I just finished watching Chisum last night. I’ve probably seen that movie more than twenty times.

Billy the Kid happens to be in the movie. The plot really doesn’t matter but there is one character, trying to guide Billy morally and spiritually (it’s not Johnny Baby). The character is a wealthy land owner who takes Billy the Kid under his wing. He notices Billy cannot read. The land-owner reaches out and teaches Billy how to read by using the Bible. During the movie the land owner gives Billy his own Bible.

The kind man inscribes the Bible with the following saying: Prepare your heart in the way of the Lord and, then, live by it.

Although we will never know if Billy the Kid had a spiritual advisor in his life, we can live by those beautiful words.

Prepare your hearts – stretch out your hands towards Jesus – Humble your hearts and be prepared to Hear.

Job 11:13: If you would prepare your heart, And stretch out your hands toward Him;

Psalm 10:17: LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear,

One Stop Shopping

Bible, Christian, Colossians 2, Faith, Living, One Stop, Philippians 4, Shop, Truth

Yesterday I wrote about doggie-sitting our grand-dog in Arizona. We decided to stop at a gas station by our son’s home to “fill-up” our van. Talk about one stop shopping! This corner of the Arizona world sported the true concept of one stop shopping.

You could fill your gas tank, clean your windshield, receive a car wash, have your windows tinted, fill your propane tank, and even get quick cash from their ATM machine. They also offered a Mexican food restaurant, a convenience store, fresh coffee, cold beer and soda pop with ice to chill your preferred beverages.

We have one stop shopping available to us any time – any where.

One stop – Shop till you drop!

Pick up your Bible and immerse yourself.

You have God-breathed, God-inspired and God-ordained words at your finger tips – the Words of the Almighty God – a virtuosic movement of God’s Truth given to us to motivate and encourage.

Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Colossians 2:2: that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,

Whatever

1 Peter 5, Bible, Christian, Colossians 3, Faith, Joyce Meyer, Living, Spiritual Gems, Truth

I’ve been watching Joyce Meyer (TV, book and tape Christian speaker). Joyce is on our TV schedule at 6am every morning. I usually tape the show and watch the series when I can. The last couple of days have been an inspiration gift! (The following notes are just a few “spiritual gems” from two of Joyce Meyer’s programs.)

Colossians: 3:17: And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Do everything you do for the Number 1 in your life – Your Father and His Son

Ask why am I doing what I’m doing? Why am I disappointed or resentful or angry when I have an assignment from God to complete?

Am I giving myself a Pity-Party? Pity Parties do not please God!

Every time you do something for someone and you complain about it – You lose your reward!

Come under authority with a good attitude in your heart.

God knows what He’s doing

Wait on God until He shows you what He wants

God wants us to be whole

1 Peter 5: Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Excess is always the devil’s playground – keep your balance

We need the whole council of the Word of God: sacrifice, taking care of your self, straightening out our priorities, balance in all things.

God can restore anything

Get glad now

Do every little thing unto the Lord

Don’t look at your circumstances – Look in your faith – even when your faith-seed is tiny

How you behave in your silence determines your future

Anything you learn – will be learned through God

God will teach you wherever you are

Even Jesus had silent years (after hearing about Jesus teaching in the temple at twelve years of age – the Bible does not write about Jesus’ ministry until he turned 30)

Keep doing what you are doing – No news is good news

Every person who has ever had a substantial break through in their lives has endured Silent Years

If God wants you – He will let you know

Excuses keep us going around the mountain over and over

If you have no time for God in your schedule – you will never have peace

Take care of your-self – FIRST – indulge in spiritual food – even if that means getting up extra early.

(The previous notes were just a few “spiritual gems” from two of Joyce Meyer’s programs. You can visit Joyce at http://www.joycemeyer.org)

Repeat these words: God knows what He’s doing – God knows what He’s doing – I will wait upon the Lord – I will wait upon the Lord – He will let me know when He needs me – He will let me know when He needs me

And then

Keep Growing – He’ll call you when He needs anything
