Every morning, my husband goes outside with our little dog, Mitzu. Hubby gets the paper but Mitzu runs to smell and sniff; ready to mark her territory from any nightly visitors.
The other morning, Hubby thought I opened the door to the Laundry room (where Mitzu sleeps) and I thought he opened the door. My husband was at the front door calling for her. We heard her barking but Mitzu did not come running.
Then it dawned on us, neither of us opened her door. Mitzu was powerless to open the door and unable to run out to enjoy one of her favorite morning duties.
We opened the door to a very happy dog and she rushed outside completely forgetting her dilemma.
How many times have you felt helpless, unable to go on, defenseless or incapable?
What changed in your dilemma? What caused you to move or set in motion a plan?
Luke 10:19 Jesus said, “I know. I saw Satan fall, a bolt of lightning out of the sky. See what I’ve given you? Safe passage as you walk on snakes and scorpions, and protection from every assault of the Enemy. No one can put a hand on you. All the same, the great triumph is not in your authority over evil, but in God’s authority over you and presence with you. Not what you do for God but what God does for you—that’s the agenda for rejoicing.”
Jesus promises us the battle has been WON!
He promises us safe passage. He doesn’t say we won’t go through trials or dilemmas but we will triumph!
He tells us to lean on Him using His authority during our Power-Less times.
God has the Power – the Agenda for JOY.
